I visit schools with a mission: to ignite kids’ excitement for science and discovery. I’ve been working with children for much longer than I’ve been writing books. I began leading science workshops for students as a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin and have never stopped believing in the power of connection to get students energized and ready to learning.

My most popular presentation! We explore real-life superpowers of animals with hands-on activities. Drawing on several of my books, this presentation is jam-packed with science content.

Grades 3 and up
Drawing on my book Birds vs. Blades?, we explore a real-life environmental mystery—how do ocean wind farms affect birds?—and go on an adventure with scientists to find answers.
